Dr. Muhammad Osama Shafiq is working at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Karachi as Assistant Professor. He has served as Assistant Professor in Federal Urdu University and Geo TV as Manager Programming. Dr. Osama has experience to work in national and international media organizations. He was associated with Islam Channel UK, ARY and Indus TV in Pakistan. Having vast experience in production, direction and content management. Dr. Osama earned PhD Degree in 2016 from University of Karachi with the thesis topic “Role of Social Media in Political Opinion Making in Pakistan; A Comparative study.” Dr. Osama Shafiq completed Masters from University of Hertfordshire, UK 2009 in the discipline of Film and TV Directing. He has attended many national and international conferences and presented papers. Dr. Osama has research interest in political communication, social media, propaganda, and agenda setting. He has many national and international publications.
